Product description
The Selfsat Snipe Dish is a fully automatic satellite dish, available with a diameter of 65 or 85 cm, and suitable for mounting on the roof of your motorhome or caravan. This makes the Selfsat Snipe Dish suitable for the reception of Canal Digital and/or TV Flanders in large parts of Europe. With the Snipe Dish 65 variant, you have coverage of the Astra 3 satellite up to approximately northern Spain. With the Snipe Dish 85 cm it is possible to receive the Astra 3 satellite as far as (South) Portugal.
There are 2 possible versions available of the Selfsat Snipe DIsh:
- 65 cm dish antenna, with Single LNB and without automatic Skew function
- 85 cm dish antenna, with Single LNB and without automatic Skew function
Control unit
The Selfsat Snipe Dish s equipped with a digital control unit and has search transponders pre-programmed per satellite (12HD). Furthermore, the control unit always remembers the last TP satellite search results. The control unit has an LCD screen and USB port; through the latter it is easy to do e.g. a software update, if necessary. Up to 11 satellites can be programmed into the control unit; these are already pre-programmed by the manufacturer and include all important satellite positions for Europe. The automatic switching of satellite positions is possible via DiSEqC 1.1.
Thoughtfully developed mechanism
The gear housing of the Selfsat Snipe Dish is made of die-cast aluminum and guarantees a long service life.
Robust construction
The robust construction keeps the antenna firmly in place when driving your RV or caravan. The Selfsat Snipe Dish is made of reinforced -lightweight and rust-resistant- plastic.
Smart Transponder Management (STM)
The Selfsat Snipe Dish has pre-programmed search transponders per satellite (12 HD) and always remembers the latest TP satellite search results. Also, the Apollo automatically updates the best search transponder per satellite.
Resistant aluminum dish
The dish is made of high-quality aluminum. As a result, the dish of the Selfsat Snipe Dish is protected from rust.
Manual skew function
The skew of the LNB of the Selfsat Snipe Dish can possibly be adjusted manually (for example, through the skylight); thus, you can always set the best signal quality in the location where you are.
