The reliable and lightweight Hughes 9202 Land Portable Terminal has a compact and slim design. The Hughes 9202 is a budget-friendly and highly attractive Class 2 portable terminal, making it the ideal solution for governments and NGOs, first responders, public safety agencies and mobile healthcare workers, on-site personnel working in utility, oil and gas extraction, forestry, cable and telecommunications.

Operating over Inmarsat's satellite service Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN), the Hughes 9202 provides high-performance connectivity and reliability for the most demanding users under the most extreme conditions.

With the world's smallest Class 2 BGAN terminal, it is capable of connecting at IP broadband speeds of up to 464 kbps, and features such as built-in Wi-Fi access for multiple users and automatic context activation (ACA), including the ability to send text messages via the Integrated User Interface (IUI) without a connected laptop, smartphone or other user device, are available.

With the Hughes 9202, it is possible to send and receive IP traffic over Ethernet and Wi-Fi. In parallel with packet data service, the Hughes 9202 supports full ISDN and circuit-switched voice and fax calls via a 2-line RJ11 jack.

'Disaster coordinators' and (remote) field personnel can collaborate with multiple agencies and headquarters personnel with confidence and efficiency by simultaneously using a video, voice and data connection. Like all Hughes BGAN models, the Hughes 9202 is IP-based and provides selectable, dedicated Quality of Service (QoS) levels.
