The Cobham EXPLORER 710 BGAN antenna terminal can achieve on-demand streaming rates of up to 650 kbps. The EXPLORER 710 thus delivers a super-fast, portable satellite Internet streaming solution suitable for (video) broadcast and other IP-based business applications. This makes the Cobham EXPLORER 710 one of the world's smallest Class 1 BGAN terminal, suitable for Inmarsat's latest streaming services (High Data Rate), among others.

The EXPLORER 710 has several advanced new features, such as Plug and Play bonding - simply connect two EXPLORER 710s together to double the data throughput. In other words, a low-end VSAT solution packed into a portable BGAN terminal.

The EXPLORER 710 is a portable satellite Internet terminal that ushers in a new era in the world of BGAN; setting new standards for size, speed and available (new) features.

Small and lightweight antenna

The smallest class 1 BGAN terminal suitable for example to support broadcasters / providers to improve the quality of mobile broadcasting in the (distant) "outside world" or other unusual location where no or few other (internet) facilities are available.

Fastest BGAN ever

The 1st and (still) only BGAN terminal to support Inmarsat's new High Data Rate on-demand streaming service. With speeds exceeding 600 kbps, the Cobham EXPLORER 710 sets a new standard for mobile video newsgathering.

Double the speed via Plug and Play bonding*- simply connect 2 EXPLORER 710 terminals via an Ethernet cable to achieve speeds above 1 Mbps.

Smart and easy

This EXPLORER series solution also introduces the use of smartphones to the world of BGAN; users can connect their own devices for both controlling the terminal and making voice calls and other connections.

Other features supported include a USB host interface, hot-swappable batteries, a large -easy-to-use- LED display screen and multiple interfaces to support other applications.
