With the @Smit CI+ 1.3 module (TV module) you can enjoy HDTV via your cable. The module is suitable for 1.2 and 1.3 certified televisions. However, if you use a 1.2 TV, you cannot use Ziggo's Interactive Television.
The @Smit Interactive CI+ 1.3 module is prepared for Ziggo's Interactive Television (ITV). Interactive Television via the module has been available since the fall of 2013. With Interactive Television, you can order movies and series from Ziggo in addition to Digital Television (DTV) and watch missed broadcasts.
What is needed to watch Digital Television (DTV) via the CI+ module?
- A CI+ 1.3 / CI+ 1.2 certified television (for use of Ziggo's Interactive Television, a certified CI+ 1.3 television is required, see www.ziggo.nl/interactievemodule)
- A @Smit CI+ module
- One (or more) smartcard(s) from the TV provider
- Suitable for new televisions purchased after August 2013
