LNB - Low Noise Block-downconvertor

LNB, or the Low Noise Block-downconverter. This is called like this because it converts a bundle of different frequencies to a lower band.

A LNB is at the end of the LNB arm and is pointed to the parabolic reflector (also called dish antenna); this dish antenna reflects the satellite signals towards the "feedhorn" of the LNB.

The LNB converts the satellite signals to a lower frequency and sends these through the connected f-connector and coax cable to your satellite receiver.
