During holidays, watching TV via the internet, rather than via satellite, is increasingly a solution for many people travelling around with a camper, caravan or with a (pleasure) yacht on inland waters. Many campsite or marinas offer a WiFi connection, but this is often not fast enough to stream TV services such as Neflix, HBO+, Canal+, TV Flanders or other VDO services, let alone for the whole family to also simultaneously mail or read the news on different devices such as smartphone, tablet or laptop simultaneously.

In addition, the signal quality is usually worse inside the caravan, camper or boat than outside.

The Travel Vision 5G WiFi Connect antenna offers the best solution for ‘both worlds’, both connecting to an existing WiFi network and setting up your own 5G network connection.

Connecting to an existing WiFi network, for example at the campsite, port or along the motorway, is an option.  Once the 5G WiFi Connect is connected to the selected Wifi network, the device boosts the signal quality and creates its own secure WiFi network in the campervan, caravan or on board, to which multiple devices can then be connected, such as the Smart TV, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.

No WiFi network available? No problem either. The Travel Vision 5G WiFi Connect solution can also be connected to a mobile network, i.e. a 3G, 4G or 5G network. A single SIM card can easily be inserted into the supplied router, creating your own WiFi network. And by inserting a ‘local’ SIM card, for example a prepaid SIM card from the country you are currently in, you will be seen as a ‘local user’ on the respective network and usually no additional conditions apply when using it.

And because the device is SIM-free, virtually any SIM card can be used and multiple devices can be connected with ‘just’ one SIM card.

This way, you can access your own secure WiFi network on the go anytime, anywhere. It allows you to easily and securely connect all your devices, such as your smartphone, tablet, laptop and smart TV, to the internet, just like at home.

Antenna and router

The Travel Vision 5G WiFi Connect consists of an (outdoor) antenna, which is mounted on the roof of the camper or caravan -or on the deck of the boat- and a router mounted inside the camper, caravan or boat. 

The antenna unit is equipped with four MiMo (multiple input/multiple output) outdoor antennas, two powerful GSM 3G/4G /5G antennas and two WiFi antennas; these antennas continuously search around themselves for the best signal and because they are placed outside on the roof, there is always the best possible signal reception. The outdoor antennas also act as WiFi booster and provide a strong WiFi network in and around the caravan, motorhome or boat.
